POH dental floss is constructed of Nylon 6.6, not PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) polymer. Recent studies have found PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) and PFOA (perfluorooctanoic acid) in some consumer goods using PTFE.

POH offers three unique thicknesses of dental floss: Classic™ 490 White Floss, Percept® 630 Black Floss, and Percept® 420 Black Floss. Each number (490, 630 & 420) represents the number of filaments in the floss and measured by “Denier“.
Denier is a French-derived word and is a unit of measurement of the weight of a specified length of engineered yarn.
One denier equals one gram of yarn in weight that would make a 9 kilometer long thread. The numbers POH uses denotes the total estimated denier of the final construction.
