The POH toothbrush, designed by a Medical Doctor, provides a clean that is noticeably different. Over the years, POH has found that the feeling of a truly clean mouth is surprising to most patients who have not used a POH toothbrush.
POH is such a good toothbrush, you do not need toothpaste!
Of course, that is true any way, with almost any decent toothbrush. You may be fooling yourself with a “Minty Fresh Taste”. Baking soda still is the best.
Yes, you have to floss also. But you knew that…
Personal Oral Hygiene
That is simply the name given to the practice of cleaning the mouth, teeth and gums. Doesn’t it seem kind of strange that after all these years, we have figured out that the bacterial load within the mouth may have some bad effect on us? One cannot get rid of the bacteria, as they are a part of our world. However, if one disrupts and disorganizes the bacterial colonies, they lose their ability to do us harm, according to Dr. Bass’ research.
Properly brushing and flossing before bedtime will prevent tooth decay and gum disease. Brushing disrupts the bacteria on the biting surfaces and on the gumline. Flossing disrupts the bacteria between the teeth and below the gumline.
You have to do both!
POH asks our customers to tell us their POH story, and here is a good one!
I am a retired USPHS Dentist. I started using the POH 4-row brushes 25+ years ago. I was stationed at a clinic in Rapid City, SD which also supplied other area clinics. They were well stocked with POH products including adult and pedo toothbrushes and floss. I have a complimentary copy of “Dr. Charles Bass and the Bass Method” given to me by POH in 2012.
I am a firm believer in his methods. I have used them to educate many patients and have even followed up with some of them and seen the improvement in their overall Oral Health. My two sons(who are adults and cavity free thus far in their lives) have me order toothbrushes for them. I myself have been cavity free for 40+ years and I attribute that to Dr. Bass and POH. So, Thank You!
Never, ever, ever do any of these:
- Never pull one end of the floss with one hand, letting it pay out with the other while the floss is between the teeth. This is a sawing motion, it does nothing to clean teeth. This causes the floss to pull along its long axis, which separates the filaments. Whoever taught you to floss your teeth by pulling the floss back and forth between your teeth was wrong. Period.
- Never force the floss between your teeth. Slip it gently.
- Never have a gap of more than a half inch between your fingers as you floss. You must control and manipulate this floss carefully, and holding the floss with hands more than half an inch apart does not allow this.
- Never snap the floss into your gums. Once again, manipulate dental floss with care.
