In 2003 or so, when the PTFE type "floss" was put out on the market with a HUGE ad campaign, POH collaborated with the University of Mississippi to compare POH nylon multi-filament floss with the new type "floss".
POH wanted to know if the PTFE type "floss" disrupted and disorganized plaque as good as POH floss. The thinking being, if the new PTFE "floss" did as good a job cleaning teeth as our POH floss, we would add it to our line.
